Concepts for Film Poster

I have taken a look at a couple of film posters in order to give me ideas for the poster i am about to create. These are a few of the ones i felt that were good.

I like this concept because it involves the silhoette of a character which implies mystery. Also there are lots of other photographs used which goes really well with the plot of the film because it represents different view points. The blcak and white style adds to the whole effect of not having the full picture, however the bold and coloured title works well.

I think that the film noir poster is good because it uses the key convetional techniques. There is a dark feel about it. There is a cantered angle. There are bright lights and a femme fatal. All these things come together to create film noir.


The film poster for 'Colateral' i think uses some film noir aswell because of the shadows and you cant see his face. There is a gun and bright lights.
